Blogging from A to Z 2014

A2Z-BADGE-0002014-small_zps8300775cThe 2014 Blogging from A to Z challenge starts 1 April!

Why not join more than 1500 other bloggers and daily blog your way through the alphabet, starting with A on 1 April? It’s a great way to give yourself a challenge and get in touch with bloggers yet unknown to you. And, you get the Sundays off!

My theme in 2014: Online jewellery collections.

Many museums have made their collections accessible online. I want to dive into all that. Search and browse, find stories from the past.

Does it matter to a jewellery geek to have access to all this visual material? Why? How? Does it matter to you? Do the stories from the past matter to us? Is it any different to see objects online than in a museum?

This digital time machine takes off on 1 April and there will be a daily tour, except on Sundays.

Reliable sources tell me that there will be no chronological order whatsoever. This is not about “the best of” or “the most important”, it is simply my personal and random selection as I explore some online collections. No guarantee that this will be only about jewellery. So actually, who knows what will happen here? The challenge will reveal itself day by day, from A to Z.

If you didn’t sign up yet, you can do so here. If you will not sign up, because you have no blog, or if you have a blog but not the time, then just be aware: we’re in for another intense alphabet month!

  1. . Good for you, I did it for 2 years … but it’s far too hard going and with my butt problems, not able to sit too long. I can’t do any short posts neither, but I talk a lot too. *smile
Good luck to you .. and I will be looking forward to your part of the challenge.
