Weaving.
It is often said to be a metaphor for life, representing magic or the understanding of universe. Threads that interlink and grow to one new whole.
I went online to look for quotes – because where else do you look for weaving quotes, if not on the world wide web?

Somewhere here – I’m just thinking out loud now – the symbolic weaving of a fabric and the longevity of (precious) metals have something in common. They both remain over time, either because they are events that interlink with one another and cannot be undone, or because precious metals cannot be destroyed.

Nice quotes by Aurelius! Really enjoying his work recently! When I think of weaving, I think of the masterpiece stories I see on woven tapestries and how interconnected our stories intertwine with one another.

You hit the nail literally on stories and weaving there, mentioning tapestries! Many times we don’t even know how our different stories interwine, we are but single yarns, but together and over time, we become part of bigger stories. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Weaving does seem like a metaphor for life. I listen to The Happiness Lab podcast on occasion and she talks about the stoic philosophers. Nice quotes.Weekends In Maine

As a teenager I read quite a few of Dickens’ books and I always saw his plots as weaving, all the characters there at the beginning and most brought back together at the end having been modified by their paths through the weave…
I like the words warp and weft too.

Oh yes, warp and weft are nice words, they sound like people, could be sisters or brothers to each other, couldn’t they? “Did you see Warp and Weft yet?”
